Community Group Connections

We welcome everyone

On site at Clayworx or at locations of the recipient’s choice, over the past two years we have given one-off and workshop series for kids from many community groups, including but not limited to:
  • Rotholme Women’s and Family Shelter - a program of Mission Services of London, the organization provides 24-hour emergency admissions for families who are homeless or in crisis and in need of temporary accommodation.
  • Camp Ooch - a privately funded, volunteer-driven charity that helps kids from across Ontario affected by childhood cancer and their families explore enriching, and fun experiences.
  • Rick Hansen Public School - located in London’s White Oaks area, the school educates kids from kindergarten through grade 8.  Rick Hansen P.S. serves a higher newcomer and refugee population than other areas of the city.
  • Culture City Youth - a program of London Arts Council, over 16 weeks in 2018-19 the program introduced 30 different young hearts and minds each week to city-building, civic engagement, and citizenship through the frame of arts.
  • Youth for Christ - a Christian-based organization that engages youth by building relationships, developing potential and exploring faith in partnership with the community and local churches.
  • Girl Guides and Pathfinders - an internationally recognized organization focused on empowering girls aged 5-17 by providing new experiences that challenge and build confidence, all within a safe, all-girl environment.
  • Parkside Collegiate Institute - the largest secondary school in St. Thomas serving approximately 1,000 students and offering French Immersion and extracurricular programs including the arts.
  • École secondaire Gabriel Dumont - a completely French-language school where kids have opportunities to experience and enrich their Francophone culture and develop their personality, creativity, and curiosity.
  • Open Closet - run by Regional HIV/AIDS Connection, it is a social support group for LGBT2Q+ youth between 14 and 18 years of age.
