Registration opens at least 6 weeks before the start of each session - get notified through our e-newsletter by joining our mailing list HERE, and never miss out!

Spring 5, 8, or 9 Week Classes
 (Registration below text)

For Adult Classes, PLEASE READ below to see which level of classes is right for you:
  • Intro to Clay - Wheel Focus - Select if you have never worked with clay before.  No previous experience necessary! In this 5-week class, you will learn the basics of working on the wheel - throwing and trimming - and finish with learning how to glaze your pieces.
  • Intro to Clay - Hand Building Focus - Select if you have never worked with clay before.  No previous experience necessary! In this 5-week class, you will learn the fundamentals of hand building, - pinch potting, coiling, and soft & hard slab work - and finish with learning how to glaze your pieces.
  • Fundamentals - Great for beginners and newer throwers! You know which technique is for you (hand-building or wheel) and you are still at the start of your clay journey.  Take one of these classes to learn or refresh yourself in the fundamentals!
  • Intermediate - You are not new to working with clay.  You have taken at least one or two beginner classes and are confident in the fundamentals.  While we may briefly review the basics, the focus is on improving skills, learning to throw larger (wheel), make more complex forms, designing/choosing your own projects (hand building), and becoming more consistent in your work.  Surface decoration techniques are explored in some depth.  SEE CLASS DESCRIPTION BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS.
  • Advanced (Wheel only) - You have mastered the basics, can center larger balls of clay independently, and can throw tall cylinders (8-10 inches high) with consistency.  These classes will help you to throw much bigger, make more complex or multi-part forms, and lidded vessels.  Surface decoration techniques are further explored.  SEE CLASS DESCRIPTION BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS.
  • All Skill Levels - These classes are suitable for the beginners through to experienced potters.
In addition to instruction, registration fee includes clay, glazes, and firings for pottery classes and all mosaic materials for that class. For wheel classes, a toolkit can be purchased at time of registration (an option in the checkout) if you do not already have one.  Toolkits are highly recommended for wheel classes.

Kids/Teens/Family Classes:
  • Adventures in Clay 1 - for children ages 7-12 (great for beginners as well as returning students)
  • Adventures in Clay 2 - for children ages 12+ (requires some clay experience at a minimum, independent project focused)

  • Learning Together - for one adult and one child (age 7-12) - 1 additional adult or child may be added at checkout.  Bond over working with clay!
  • Little Hands - for one adult and one child (age 3-7) - 1 additional child may be added at checkout.  Bond and play while helping your child's fine motor development through working with clay.
