Open Studio

New Spring Open Studio Sessions
For current Spring session students as well as individuals who have taken at least 3 prior classes at Clayworx.
Want to practice your wheel skills beyond the time allotted in your classes?  Did you bite off more than you can chew with a hand building project?  Do you just want to get ahead of the game with glazing?

Or are you a student between class sessions who wants to keep up your skills or practice what you've learned more before moving on to another class or membership?

Book an open studio session on Sunday morning (10:00am - 1:00 pm) or Friday afternoon (1:00 - 4:00 pm) for just $25.00 per session a la carte. If you buy 7 to 10 sessions IN A SINGLE TRANSACTION you will receive 15% off all purchased sessions.  If you buy 11 to 14 sessions IN A SINGLE TRANSACTION you will receive 30% off all purchased sessions.  These discounts will be automatically applied.   Choose a space in either the wheel or hand-building classroom (or both!) depending on the course type in which you are enrolled or your preferred technique.  Use of classroom tools and coloured slips is included.  Small pots of underglaze can be purchased at additional cost.

If not currently in a class or if you need extra clay, it can be purchased for $68.50 per sleeve or $34.25 per half-sleeve and includes the costs of glazes used and kiln firing. No "outside" clay or clay bodies other than mid smooth stone (classroom clay) allowed. (Purchase at a session, or through the "Merchandise" tab below)

***Please note, these sessions are for  practicing skills , taking additional time on classroom projects, and of course making new work, but cannot support "production" levels or mass quantities of work.  i.e. not for making large quantities of quick, simple items, such as a hundred Christmas ornaments for everyone on your list (if in doubt about what qualifies, ask).
