​Board of Directors

GOVERNANCE & ACCOUNTABILITY
Clayworx is a not-for-profit charitable organization governed by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors. Our Board members bring diverse professional expertise and provide strategic oversight to ensure Clayworx remains a financially responsible and thriving arts organization.
The Board’s executive committee includes the chairperson, vice-chair, past-chair, secretary, treasurer, and Executive Director, who collaborate to guide the organization’s activities, uphold its mission, and maintain a strong business plan and annual budget. Their leadership supports Clayworx in delivering high-quality ceramic arts programming, fostering community engagement, and maintaining a well-equipped studio space for artists of all levels.

Join Our Board or a Governance Committee
When recruiting new Board members we look for passionate individuals with skills in the following areas to contribute to our Board of Directors or Governance Committees:
Legal - Practicing with an expertise in Employment and/or NFP law, a LSO Licenced Paralegal
Financial Management & Investments – CPA certification or financial expertise to oversee budgets and long-term financial sustainability.
Construction & Facility Management – Experience in building maintenance, renovation projects, or studio infrastructure planning.
Fundraising & Donor Relations – Strong connections in the community and experience with sponsorships, grant writing, or donor engagement.
Communications, Marketing & Social Media – Expertise in branding, digital outreach, and public relations to help grow our audience.
Human Resources – Knowledge of HR best practices, policy development, and organizational leadership.
Governance & Policy Development – Experience with non-profit governance, strategic planning, and board leadership.

By joining our Board or a committee, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of Clayworx, ensuring it continues to be a hub for creativity, education, and artistic excellence.
